Premium Chocolate Making Experience - Around the World In Chocolate

£69.00
Tax included.

Travel from Madagascar to the Caribbean and beyond – without leaving the Chocolate Den.

Around the World in Chocolate is a tasting and making experience for anyone who wants to discover just how different great chocolate can taste.

Guided by a Mocha chocolatier, you'll explore chocolates made with cocoa from different origins, discovering how the country, climate and character of the cocoa bean can influence everything from fruitiness and acidity to deep roasted and nutty flavours.

Then you'll put your taste buds to work, using Valrhona single-origin chocolates to create your own collection, pairing them with carefully chosen fruits, nuts, cocoa nibs and other ingredients that complement their individual flavour profiles.

What you'll do

You'll begin by tasting and comparing chocolates from different cocoa-growing regions before creating chocolates inspired by the flavours you've discovered.

Your Chocolate Experience Invitation Card arrives nestled in a Mocha gift box alongside three of our handmade artisan chocolates - a little taste of what’s to come.

With booking instructions included, it’s ready to give to someone special: chocolates to enjoy now and an experience to look forward to.

Content includes:

  • A guided tasting of chocolates from different cocoa origins
  • Discovering how cocoa origin can influence the flavour of chocolate
  • Learning how to taste chocolate and recognise different flavour notes
  • Exploring the stories and ingredients behind the chocolates
  • Tasting and working with single-origin couvertures
  • Comparing different percentages and styles of chocolate
  • Choosing ingredients to complement different chocolate flavour profiles
  • Piping single-origin chocolate into our moulds
  • Finishing your chocolates with cocoa nibs, nuts, fruit pieces and other complementary ingredients
  • Creating your own collection of origin-inspired chocolates
  • Tips and tasting guidance from your Mocha chocolatier

The origins and chocolates used may vary, allowing us to introduce different couvertures, harvests and flavour combinations over time.

While your chocolates are setting, we'll stop for a complimentary drink and a chance to relax and chat.

What you'll take home

You'll leave with your own handmade collection of chocolates inspired by the cocoa-growing world, beautifully presented in a gold box and finished with ribbon.

You'll also receive your Mocha Chocolate Experience certificate and a photograph from your experience to take home.

You'll also receive a special discount on Mocha chocolates purchased on the day – although after learning how to taste chocolate properly, choosing from the cabinet may take a little longer than it did before.

Product information

We want your Mocha Chocolate Experience to be enjoyable from the moment you book. Please read the following conditions before making your booking.

Booking & Payment

Places must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

Full payment is required at the time of booking unless you are redeeming a valid Mocha Chocolate Experience Gift Card or voucher. Where the value of your voucher is less than the cost of your chosen experience, the remaining balance must be paid when booking.

Your place is confirmed once you have received your booking confirmation from us.

Gift Cards & Vouchers

Gift Cards and vouchers must be valid at the time the booking is made and redeemed by the expiry date shown on the voucher.

Gift Cards may be used towards any eligible Mocha Chocolate Experience, subject to availability and any individual age or participation requirements.

If your chosen experience costs more than the value of your Gift Card, you can simply pay the difference. Any unused balance will remain available to use until the original expiry date.

Gift Cards and vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

Changing Your Booking

We understand that plans sometimes change.

If you need to move your booking, please give us at least 7 days' notice and we will be happy to transfer your place to another available date.

Changes requested with less than 7 days' notice cannot normally be accommodated and your booking may be treated as a cancellation.

Bookings can only be transferred once.

Cancellations

If you cancel more than 7 days before your experience, we can transfer your booking to another available date or provide a credit to use towards a future Chocolate Experience.

Cancellations made within 7 days of the experience are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund or transfer bookings if you do not attend.

You are welcome to give your place to someone else if you are unable to attend – just let us know the name of the person who will be coming in your place.

If Mocha Needs to Cancel

Occasionally we may need to cancel or rearrange an experience due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control or because an experience has not reached the minimum number of participants required to run.

If this happens, we will offer you an alternative date or a full refund of the amount you paid.

If you booked using a Gift Card or voucher, its value will be reinstated so that you can choose another date.

We cannot accept responsibility for additional costs such as travel or accommodation.

Arrival & Latecomers

Please arrive at the time stated in your confirmation email. Our experiences involve demonstrations and practical chocolate making, so it is important that everyone begins together.

If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate you, but you may miss part of the experience. If you arrive too late to join safely or without disrupting the other guests, unfortunately you may not be able to participate and your booking cannot be refunded.

Allergies & Dietary Requirements

Chocolate is produced and experiences are held in an environment where milk, nuts, peanuts, soya, gluten, egg, sesame and other allergens may be present.

Please tell us about any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements when booking.

We will always provide as much information as we can and will make reasonable adjustments where possible, but we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Some experiences are designed specifically for particular dietary requirements, such as our Vegan Chocolate Experience. Please check the individual experience information before booking.

Age Requirements & Children

Age restrictions vary between experiences and will be clearly stated on the individual experience page.

Children attending an experience must meet the minimum age requirement and, where stated, must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Accessibility & Practical Information

Chocolate making is a practical activity and some experiences involve standing for periods of time.

If you have a disability, mobility requirement or anything else that may affect your participation, please contact us before booking. We will be happy to discuss the experience with you and make reasonable adjustments wherever possible.

What You Make

The chocolates and other products you make during your experience are intended for your own enjoyment and should be stored and consumed in accordance with the guidance provided by your chocolatier.

Photography

We may occasionally take photographs during our Chocolate Experiences for use on Mocha's website or social media. We will always ask your permission before taking or using identifiable photographs of you.

You are very welcome to take photographs of your own experience too.

Finally…

Chocolate making can be a little messy – that's part of the fun! Please follow the guidance of your Mocha chocolatier throughout the experience, particularly when using equipment or handling hot ingredients.

By making a booking, you agree to these booking conditions and any additional information or requirements shown on the individual Chocolate Experience page.

We look forward to welcoming you to Mocha – and getting chocolatey together!
