What a night!
We had a full house at our Aske site last night when our guests were busy making their own fillings for chocolate spheres and decorating them in between enjoying a few cocktails or mocktails.
We started with a welcome glass of fizz (sloe gin and prosecco or raspberry & pomegranate) then after a welcome and overview of the evening, Toby demonstrated making a fresh cream truffle.
Each guest then decided what type of chocolate to use and how to flavour their ganache (Baileys, orange, champagne, blackcurrant......) and then it was time to get stuck in and get making!
Once their ganache was safely in a piping bag, it was back to their table to pipe into a selection of spheres.
A short break for a Pomegranate Martini (gin and no-alcohol gin) then after capping off the spheres it was time to decide on decorations.
After sprinkling on meringue, shortbread, raspberry or other delicious delights our third cocktail was a Spiced Cranberry Fizz (spiced rum, ginger beer, lime and cranberry juice).
Once the chocolates had dried off, boxes and ribbons were passed around ready to pack these little beauties.
There was just time for a special Christmas cocktail to round off the night (Christmas Kiss - Baileys, vodka, Kahlua and cream or a Spiced Apple Kiss).
A good time was had by all! Thank you to everyone who came to see us and we'll hopefully see you next year for our Spring Chocolate & Cocktail Making Evening
